Julie Withers has 9 years of experience representing individuals and corporations at trial in commercial litigation and white collar and regulatory defense.
Since joining the firm in 2011, she has been a member of the firm’s trial teams that won a federal jury verdict of over $20 million in a business dispute; an arbitration award for an investment banker against his former employer; and, following a month-long jury trial, a victory against the SEC on all fraud charges for a stockbroker.
Ms. Withers was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2012-2014).
Previously, Ms. Withers was an associate at Allen & Overy LLP, a leading international firm, where she focused on defending financial institutions and individuals in white collar criminal and regulatory investigations and cases. Julie began her career at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, as part of that firm’s white collar defense group led by Peter Fleming, Jr.
Julie’s pro bono representations have included 10 individuals imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, and the clemency appeal of Stanley Tookie Williams.
Julie graduated from the American University of Paris and is fluent in French. She graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University Law School in 2003 and clerked for Judge Kevin Thomas Duffy in the Southern District of New York.
She is admitted to the bar of New York.
