Michael Geltner

Michael Geltner focuses his practice on government contracts, leasing and financing, libel and slander and related torts, First Amendment, SEC actions, and appellate practice. He is a trusted advisor and counsel to some of the nation’s most preeminent lease-finance companies, and oversees litigation and transactional issues for them throughout the country. Before joining Harris, St. Laurent and Chaudhry, Mr. Geltner practiced at Hyland Law PLLC; and previously practiced as a solo practitioner. Mr. Geltner also served as a Professor of Law at Georgetown University, teaching torts and advanced torts, constitutional law, appellate practice and the appellate litigation clinical program, commercial law, criminal law and procedure and local government law, and The Ohio State University, teaching torts and advanced torts, criminal law and procedure, clinical programs, constitutional law, conflict of laws, professional responsibility and education law.

Mr. Geltner graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and received his LLB, magna cum laude, from Columbia University.
